Dear FIM members and participants at FIM’s March, 2009 Forum in Delhi.

This is in regard to your participation in the creation of Democratizing Global Governance: Principles for the Engagement of Civil Society Organizations with Multilateralism.

Attached please find the final version of the draft document first presented to you in Delhi this past Match. This, November 2009, version is soon to be published in French and English on FIM’s web site.

The process of preparing this version has been both challenging and gratifying for the FIM Secretariat. We received a great deal of very engaging and substantive feedback, beginning in Delhi, and then through our later survey and conversations with many of you. This draft represents our best efforts to create a ‘principles’ document that reflects FIM’s knowledge - gained from extensive dialogue and collaboration with global civil society activists since FIM’s inception.

Thank you all very much for making this document possible. We hope that you will find it useful and that you will circulate it to your colleagues.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to further development of principles for good CSO practice!

Regards,

Heather
