Coordination SUD

As a part of increasing the involvement of national networks in the global diplomacy, a convention between VANI (Voluntary Action Network India) and Coordination SUD, France was signed for the year 2006 with the objective of strengthening civil society national platforms in Asia.

National platforms in Asia especially South Asian countries, will come together to share and explore the potential for shared agreements and advocacy along with concerted action at national and international levels. The project aims to explore and deepen the relationship between national platforms and civil society perspectives on international issues.

This project focuses mainly on building views and agreements on international issues such as agriculture in WTO, global non-governmental diplomacy, exchange of information, policy papers, campaigning and exchanging of ideas in the region through media, regular meetings of the Asian national platforms of NGOs in international and regional conferences/meetings, lobbying with Indian, Asian and international relevant public authorities on development issues like WTO, UN, SAARC, etc.
